Oil & Gas Council meeting chaired by the Kazakh President discuss issues of further industry dev't
ASTANA. October 19. KAZINFORM - President Nursultan Nazarbayev has held a meeting of the Oil and Gas Council, the press service of the Presidential Administration informs.
The round table discussed topical issues of further development of oil and gas industry, modernization and diversification.
Nursultan Nazarbayev noted the need to improve the organizational structure of "KazMunayGas" in order to avoid duplication of functions between the subsidiaries and comply with international standards of corporate governance.
The event also negotiated on other important questions of oil and gas sector including further implementation of the North-Caspian project and activity of "Tengizchevroil".
Following the meeting the Head of State gave instructions on the issues discussed.
