OIC Health Ministers to convene in Astana

TANA. September 5. KAZINFORM As a chair country of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Kazakhstan will hold the 3rd session of the Ministers of Healthcare of the OIC member countries in Astana from September 29 till October 1.
During the conference, the draft Healthcare Strategic Action Plan of the OIC countries for 2012-2022 will be reviewed. In addition, the parties will discuss cross-border cooperation in achieving the Millennium Development Goals aimed at reduction of child mortality, improvement of maternal health, global polio eradication, production of drugs, including vaccines against HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria, the press service of the Kazakh MFA reports.
