OIC community satisfied with dynamic development of Kazakhstan: Hameed Opeloyeru
ASTANA. August 24. KAZINFORM Permanent Representative of Kazakhstan to the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) Bakhyt Batyrshayev met with Assistant Secretary General of the Organization Hameed Opeloyeru in Jeddah, the Kazakh Foreign Ministry reports.
The issues of cooperation between Kazakhstan and the OIC in different fields in light of the coming presidency of our country in the Organization in 2011 were discussed at the meeting.
According to H.Opeloyeru, the OIC community is satisfied with the dynamic development of Kazakhstan, strengthening of its economic potential and image. He also complimented the effectiveness of interaction between Kazakhstan and the OIC within different programs and initiatives of the parties. The OIC members believe that the contribution of our country to the Organization will increase and coming Kazakhstan's presidency will give an impetus to the activity of the Organization.
In this regard, the sides agreed to discuss a range of perspective directions for cooperation. In particular, special attention will be paid to further extension of economic cooperation through Kazakhstan's participation in corresponding programs of the OIC. The Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation (COMCEC) - the main body of the organization responsible for economic development in Islamic countries - will be an important platform for joint work.
