Obama gives interview to Russian media ahead of visit to Moscow
WASHINGTON. July 5. KAZINFORM U.S. President Barrack Obama was pleased with an interview, which he had given to the Itar-Tass news agency last Thursday, according to Michael McFall, the National Security Council Director of Russian Affairs, Kazinform refers to Itar-Tass.
That was the first interview that Obama gave to a Russian media outlet prior to his visit to Moscow and the Russian-American summit.
Mikhail Gusman, the deputy general director of the Itar-Tass news agency and the anchorman of Formula of Power television program, took the interview in the White House last Thursday.
In his interview Obama said that the United States and Russia should develop their relations on the basis of equality and mutual respect.
