"Nur Otan" Party should take leading role in implementation of people's choice- K.Tokayev

Senate Chairman Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has announced it at a meeting of the Astana affiliate of "Nur Otan" Party.

"We are confident that continuation of the strategic course of Party Chairman, President Nursultan Nazarbayev is a firm guarantee of further development of Kazakhstan, improvement of the people's welfare, strengthening of economic potential of our country and international authority. Over 5 mln signatures collected in support of a referendum is an undeniable fact of free expression of the will of the people", the Senate Chairman said.

He emphasized that over 5 mln people are more than a half of the Kazakh voters. According to K.Tokayev, the Kazakhstani people stand for support of the country's modernization, stability maintenance in the country.

"Nur Otan" Party as a representative of the majority of voters should take the leading role in implementation of the choice of the nation. I have no doubt that "Nur Otan" members will continue work on ensuring a wide support of an idea of the Initiative Group created in Ust Kamenogorsk", K.Tokayev resumed.
