Nur Otan Party criticizes websites of Astana-based government agencies
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - First deputy chairman of the Astana branch of the Nur Otan Party Sapar Akhmetov harshly criticized content of the Astana-based government agencies' websites Tuesday.
Speaking at the extended session of the party's council on August 26, he stressed that activities of the governmental agencies based in Astana should be more transparent and that can be achieved through their official web pages. However, according to Mr. Akhmetov, those websites have certain shortcomings. "In line with the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On administrative procedures" web portals of the government agencies should contain certain amount of information. Unfortunately, some agencies do not abide by this law, including the Astana-based archives and information department, education department, statistics department and many more. The websites of these agencies should up the ante: update information on a timely basis, add Q&A section, post latest news and information about current vacancies and etc.," he urged.
