Nur Otan, Government gathered at Majilis
ASTANA. June 22 . KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/- The Nur Otan faction is holding an enlarged sitting in the Majilis of Kazakhstan Parliament. The sitting is devoted to the issues of the anti-recession and 'road map' activities.Prime Minister Karim Massimov, Parliament deputies, members of the Government, executives of public agencies and parties are taking part in the discussion.
Prime Minister Karim Massimov addressed the meeting with a report on the execution progress of the economic stabilization Action Plan of the Government, National Bank, and the Financial Control Agency and the Government's plan on implementation of the President's Message ('Road Map').
Since the primary measures plan was passed in November, 2007, more than KZT 400 billion has been allocated from the national budget for their implementation, according to the PM. KZT 142 billion was forwarded to the small and medium business lending; KZT 75 billion was spent to ensure stability in the food market; the housing construction received KZT 190 billion. As the result, inflation in late 2008 made 9,5%, economic growth - 3,3% and unemployment - 6,6%.
