Number of petrol stations up across Kazakhstan

In 2023, Kazakhstan had over 3,300 petrol stations, representing a 5.9% increase from the 3,100 stations recorded in 2022, Kazinform News Agency learned from the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The majority of petrol stations are located in Turkistan (273), Akmola (262) and Zhambyl (253) regions.

There has been a notable increase in the number of gas filling stations over the course of the year, with a 17.8% rise from 2,200 to 2,600 units. The Turkistan region is the clear leader in the number of gas filling stations, with 289 units, followed by the Mangistau region (236), the Kyzylorda region (226) and the Zhambyl region (226).

It is noteworthy that over 548,000 vehicles using petrol and 3,000 vehicles using gas are in Almaty, which is the greatest number across the country. Additionally, the category of mixed fuel vehicles is worthy of mention, with the highest number of vehicles registered in the Mangistau region, amounting to 90,000 vehicles, 22% of which are using mixed fuel.

As previously reported, there have been changes in the prices of heating, electricity and communications in Kazakhstan.

Earlier it was reported that the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of Kazakhstan is expected to receive 348.7 million tenge from the Government reserve for the development of an integrated information system, called “e-Statistics”.
