Number of crimes in Kazakhstan reduced by 10%
ASTANA. September 29. KAZINFORM /Serik Sabekov/ Since 2008 the number of crimes in Kazakhstan has been reduced by 10%. Minister of Internal Affairs Serik Baimagambetov has made it public at the Governmental Hour in the Senate of the Kazakh Parliament.
The situation in the republic is stable now, the Minister said. According to him, the number of registered crimes reduced by 10%. Thus, the number of robbery decreased by 21%, rowdiness - by 16%, theft - by 13%, rape - by 12% and murder - by 7%, Baimagambetov noted.
As the Minister pointed out crime is a social phenomena and due to implementation of various social programs initiated by the country's leadership, the Ministry succeeds in stabilization of the criminal situation in the republic.
