Number of cancer patients grew in N Kazakhstan since Jan

PETROPAVLOVSK. KAZINFORM "The number of cancer patients grew by 11% for the past eight months of 2014 against the same period of the previous year," head of the North Kazakhstan regional cancer detection centre Ermek Abdrimov said.
The region reports an incidence of 311,5 cases per 100,000 population in 2013. This year cancer morbidity outruns the last year rates by 11%. Over the past three years the region has been taking the lead in cancer incidence per 100,000 the countrywide," he added. Almost 9,000 are subject to regular medical check-up in the region. Above 5,000 patients receive treatment in hospital, more than 46,000 undergo medical examination and out-patient treatment.
