Hege Marie Norheim gave an inclusive interview to the Prime Minister's website www.pm.kz after the plenary session.

You are representing one of the largest oil and companies of Norway. Could you tell us how your country managed to achieve such impressive results in the development of oil industry?

I would like to congratulate Kazakhstan on the forthcoming jubilee - the 20th anniversary of the country's independence. It is a very important milestone in the history of your country.

Norway's oil and gas sector development policy and your country's position are very much alike. We regarded oil and gas sector development, first of all, as one of the ways to improve social sphere because thanks to the social constituent we may guarantee welfare for our generations. I think, our countries have one common vision for the development of oil industry.

I believe we could share technologies of exploitation with Kazakhstan. Norway has rich experience in using environmentally safe methods.
