North-South line to increase power supply to southern regions twofold - K. Bozumbayev

AKMOLA REGION. September 14. KAZINFORM. /Damir Baimanov/ September 17 the Head of the State will launch a new power line "North-South" allowing to increase the volume of power transmission to southern Kazakhstan twofold.

"This 1100 km long 5-kV line will link Ekibastuz town, the significant volume of power energy is located in, with Shu, Zhambyl region", CEO of KEGOK JSC Kanat Bozumbayev said at the opening of the 6th international competition of CIS power engineers.

According to him, due to the new line the volume of power transmission will increase twofold. Thus safety and energy stability of the power supply system of the southern regions will strengthen as well.
