NGO rep voiced results of independent monitoring of presidential elections in Kazakhstan
WARSAW. October 4. KAZINFORM /Timur Bekturganov/ Kazakhstan has formed the electoral system, which maintains key democratic standards as well as specific socio-economic and political realities of the state.
Delegate of the Kazakh civil sector, representative of public fund "Centre of the local self-government" Oleg Chernyshov has announced it at a special session of the OSCE Review Conference in Warsaw which was dedicated to consideration of the situation in the OSCE region on promotion of democratic standards in the electoral sphere.
The NGO representative voiced an expert estimation of results of the presidential elections in Kazakhstan, which were conducted on April 3, 2011, informing the international community of some results of independent monitoring of this landmark electoral campaign for our country.
"The presidential election in Kazakhstan in April, 2011, showed that the country's legislation allows candidates to nominate themselves on equal terms, to conduct pre-election campaigning," the representative of the delegation of Kazakh NGOs said.
As O.Chernyshov noted, the voting results do not give rise to any doubts and are fully confirmed by the results of several independent "exit polls".
