Newborn baby sold for $ 2,000 in Almaty region

TALDYKORGAN. KAZINFORM - Almaty region police has identified the fact of newborn baby selling.
Suspects have been arrested. According to the press service of the regional Internal Affair Department, a woman, citizen of a neighboring country, sold her newborn son for USD 2000.
A woman informed the police that her friend had sold her infant baby boy to an unknown woman for USD 2000. The baby was born in July 27 in Karasai hospital.
During search operations, police detained two women alleged "seller" and "buyer".
Criminal case has been initiated under Art. 133 of the Criminal Code of Kazakhstan. The investigation is underway.
