New vice-ministers appointed in the Ministry of Culture
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Zhanai Omarov and Askar Buribayev have been appointed Vice Ministers of Culture of Kazakhstan, the newspaper "Kazakhstanskaya pravda" reports.
Zhanai Omarov, born in 1955, is a graduate of the Lomonosov Moscow State University. December 2001-March 2004 acted as press secretary of the Kazakh President. November 2004-June 2007 acted as president of Kazinform Kazakh Information Agency. Staring from July 2011 has been working as president of Kazakhstanskaya Pravda JSC. A. Buribaev was born on April 17, 1956 in Shardar city, South Kazakhstan oblast. He graduated from Almaty State Conservatory. In 1979 - 1981 he graduated from Moscow P. I. Tchaikovsky Conservatory. He occupied positions of Director of Department of Culture of Astana and chairman Department of Culture of the South-Kazakhstan oblast. Prior to the present appointment he worked as Director of Kasteev state museum.
