New Vice Minister of Healthcare of Kazakhstan named

Yerzhan Nurlybaev has been appointed Vice Minister of Healthcare by the Kazakh Government, Kazinform News Agency conveys.

Nurlybaev holds a medical degree from the Karaganda Medical University and a degree in management from the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz.

He commenced his career as a clinical resident in the Department of Surgical Disciplines at the Karaganda Medical University. He worked at the Multidisciplinary hospital No. 1 of the city of Karaganda as a departmental surgeon and deputy director of medical operations. Afterwards, he held the position of chief surgeon of the region. He was responsible for the coordination of inpatient services and the organization of medical activities within the healthcare department. He served as Director of the Multidisciplinary Hospital named after Professor H.Zh. Makazhanov, Regional Clinical Hospital. From April 2014 to March 2021, he served as the Head of the Regional Department of Healthcare of the Karaganda region.

In March 2021, he was appointed as an independent consultant to the akim of the Karaganda region.

Since 2021, he has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Karaganda Medical University.

Prior to his appointment, he held the position of Director of the Regional Clinical Hospital in Karaganda.

Recall that Aizhan Yesmagambetova was previously resigned from her post as Vice Minister of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
