New transit Astana-Samarkand flight to be launched this spring
Qazaq Air will launch a new flight from Astana to Samarkand with a convenient transit stop in Turkistan starting May 1, Kazinform News Agency has learnt from the press service of the Kazakh Ministry of Transport.


With the launch of the new flight, air passengers will be able to not only quickly get to one of the oldest cities in the world, but also spend time in the spiritual and historical center of Kazakhstan, Turkistan.
The Astana-Samarkand flight will operate twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays.
Flight schedule:
Thursday:
IQ369 Astana 16:15 – Samarkand 20:00
IQ510 Samarkand 21:00 – Astana 01:30
Sunday:
IQ369 Astana 07:25 – Samarkand 11:00
IQ510 Samarkand 12:00 – Astana 15:30
Additionally, there will be a flight from Turkistan to Samarkand on Thursdays and Sundays.
On Thursdays:
Turkistan 19:10 – Samarkand 20:00
Samarkand 21:00 – Turkistan 21:50
On Sundays:
Turkistan 10:10 – Samarkand 11:00
Samarkand 12:00 – Turkistan 13:00
The Kazakh airline Qazaq Air operates flights on modern De-Havilland Dash 8-Q400 aircraft, manufactured in Canada.
It was previously announced that a direct flight would link Shymkent and Cairo.
