New tool for waste management introduced in Kazakhstan

ASTANA. February 1. KAZINFORM "On January 1 the Ministry of Environment Protection of Kazakhstan introduced a new tool for waste management, providing for measures to reduce the accumulated and waste generation," Minister of Environmental Protection Nurlan Kapparov reported today during an extended board meeting.
"A special place is occupied by issues of solid waste (about 100 million tons). For a complete and effective solution of this problem, the general policy of solid waste management is concentrated in one state agency - our ministry, " N. Kapparov said.
