New Synergy Program allows to increase trade volume with Turkey up to USD 10 billion

 ASTANA. May 24. KAZINFORM Today Kazakh Senate Chairman Kairat Mami has met with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

According to the press service of the Kazakh Senate, the issues of strengthening Kazakh-Turkish bilateral relations  were discussed at the meeting.

"Turkey is an important trade and economic partner of Kazakhstan. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations, multi-faceted cooperation between the two peoples develop dynamically," K. Mami noted.

Mentioning the prospects of interaction outlined in the joint statement on establishment of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council between Kazakhstan and Turkey, Kairat Mami said the realization of the "New Synergy" Economic Program will allow to increase trade volume up to USD 10 billion.

According to the Kazakh Senate Speaker, interparliamentary relations contribute to the fruitful cooperation development. Kazakh Senate interacts with the Great National Turkish Congress, TurkPA and OSCE PA.

The Fourth World and Traditional Religions' Congress will be held in Astana on May 30-31, K.Mami announced during the meeting.

R. Erdogan highly estimated the Kazakh President N. Nazarbayev's role in the successful bilateral cooperation development and emphasized that Kazakhstan is a friendly, brotherly nation and strategic partner for Turkey.
