New sports palace unveiled in Aksu
PAVLODAR OBLAST. September 27. KAZINFORM A new sports palace was unveiled on Wednesday (September 26) in Aksu, ENRC PLC's press service informs.
"The state-of-the-art facility is a one more example of cooperation between businessmen and the government," Yerlan Aryn, Pavlodar region akim, said at the unveiling ceremony. ENRC's participation in the development of social infrastructure and sports, the fact that the corporation cares about health and active life style of the new generation demonstrates the successful partnership for the benefit of the country," the head of the region added.
The new sports complex was named after a well-known poet and composer Imanzhussup Kutpanuly (1863-1929).
The sports palace occupying the area of 8.3 thousand sq.m. has five gyms for boxing, wrestling, gymnastics and choreography. There are playgrounds for football, volleyball and basketball and a tennis court.
What is more existing is that the sports palace is equipped with wheelchair ramps and WC facilities for disabled people who can also go in for sport at the newly opened complex.
The construction of the sports palace cost more than 1 billion tenge.
"The corporation supports initiatives of Kazakhstan's President Nursultan Nazarbayev," ENRC PLC CEO Felix Vulis noted. "The sports palace has been commissioned ahead of schedule. We are proud to contribute to the healthy future of the nation."
