New rehabilitation center opens its doors in Aktobe region

A new rehabilitation center opened its doors in Aktobe region on the eve of the Republic Day. The center fitted with necessary equipment will provide services to 125 children with special needs, Kazinform News Agency reports.

The center was opened in cooperation between Aktobe region, Samruk Kazyna Fund, Kazakhstan Khalkyna Foundation and Kamkorlyk Fund. It will provide care for children with autism and other mental development disorders. There are 635 children aged under 18 years old with developmental disabilities. It will treat from 50 to 100 children a year, governor of the region Askhat Shakharov said.

The center is designed to provide not only educational services and rehabilitation but also to support both children and their families helping them enhance social adaptation and integration skills. There are carpenter’s, tailor’s, and porter’s workshops, arts and music therapy, and robotic science classes at the center.

It is noteworthy, on the threshold of Republic Day, the village of Taldyssai in Mugalzhar district of Aktobe region inaugurated a new 100-seat school.
