New mosque to be built in Petropavlovsk (PHOTOS)

PETROPAVLOVSK. KAZINFORM - Groundbreaking ceremony celebrating the first day of construction of a new mosque has been held in Petropavlovsk today.
Chairman of the Spiritual Directorate of the Muslims of Kazakhstan and Supreme Mufti Yerzhan Mayamerov attended the ceremony and congratulated those present on the event. "This day is of paramount importance for Muslims here. Construction of the new mosque will start in Petropavlovsk today. Our country needs more mosques. The new spiritual center will work for the benefit of Muslims," he said. Construction of the 500-seat mosque will take at least 2 years. The mosque will be built using money donated by locals.
