New deputy akim of Kazakh capital named
Yerik Meirkhanov has been appointed new deputy akim of Astana, Kazinform News Agency cites the Astana’s press service.
According to the statement of the press service, Yerik Meirkhanov was appointed deputy akim of Astana city in coordination with the Administration of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Meirkhanov commenced his career in an international oil and gas company.
Between March 2011 and May 2012, he worked in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In recent years, he served as an inspector and deputy chief of the Protocol Service of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
It was earlier reported that deputy akim of Petropavlovsk and the Head of the Department of Culture, Archives and Documentation were appointed in the North Kazakhstan region.
