Nepali PM to resign Saturday: political advisor
KATHMANDU. August 12. KAZINFORM Nepali Prime Minister Jhala Nath Khanal will resign Saturday, according to his political advisor Prakash Jwala; Kazinform refers to Xinhua.
Speaking at an interaction program in the capital Kathmandu on Friday, Jwala, who is also a Communist Party Nepal-Unified Marxist Leninist politburo member, reiterated that the prime minister is firm on his commitment to resign from the post if political parties fail to forge consensus by then.
On the occasion, he also confessed that Khanal's government failed in some main tasks of the nation, including conclusion of peace process, constitution writing and formation of a consensus government.
However, he expressed optimism that there will be an agreement among the main political parties on peace process and formation of a consensus government.
