Necessary to fuel economic growth in Karaganda region: President Nazarbayev
ASTANA. November 27. KAZINFORM Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev has received governor of Karaganda region Baurzhan Abdishev today, the president's press service reports.
Mr. Abdishev made a report on socioeconomic development of the region and the implementation of the presidential instructions given at the extended session of the Kazakh Government back in October.
In the Akorda presidential residence Nursultan Nazarbayev noted the importance of effective implementation of state and sectoral programs and emphasized the necessity to ensure the growth of regional economy, employment rate and improvement of living standards.
According to the governor of Karaganda region, all indicators of socioeconomic development in the region are of positive character. Gross regional product accounted for KZT 2.6 trillion, the industrial output in the region made KZT 1.4 trillion.
Following results of the meeting, the Kazakh President gave a number of specific instructions.
