Necessary to clarify role of Assets Stabilization Fund ? IMF experts

ASTANA. May 20. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ A mission of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) made preliminary findings on the results of the analysis of the situation in the economy of Kazakhstan; Kazinform reports.
The experts note that the state bodies should have a full range of instruments for effective restructuring of the banking sphere. In this connection it is necessary to improve legislation in this sphere. In IMF experts' opinion, amendments to the banking legislation will expand a range of opportunities for the Financial Supervision Agency to work with problem banks.
Besides, it is necessary to clarify the role foreseen for the Assets Stabilization Fund.
