Nearly 7 thousand children born during three months in Astana
ASTANA. June 12. KAZINFORM - The population of Astana on May 1, 2013 amounted to 788,266 persons, including "Almaty" district - 364,396 (46.2%), "Yesil" -106 076 (13.5%), and "Sary-Arka" - 317 794 (40.3%) people.
This has been reported by the capital's Statistics Department to astana.kz .
"Compared with the beginning of 2013 the total population of the city of Astana increased by 10,068 persons" as stated by the Department.
The Office also notes that for the first quarter, January-April 2013, the natural increase of population was 5,728 people, and net migration - 4,340 people.
Compared to the same period of the previous year the first quarter marked increase in fertility and mortality. The natural increase of the population compared to January-April of last year increased by 19.8%, i.e. 5,728 people.
"In January-April 2013 Astana registered 6,919 births, which is 15.9% more compared to the same period of the previous year. During the same period, 1191 people have died, which is 0.2% more than in January-April 2012, " informs the agency.
Among the main causes of death among the population, as before, are the diseases of the circulatory system - 39.3%, neoplasms - 18.3%, accidents, poisonings and injuries - 14.5%.
The number of registered weddings in the civil registry in January-April 2013 compared with the same period of the previous year went up to 8.2%, the number of divorces grew by 13.4%.
