Nazarbayev wins Kazakh presidential elections with 95.55% of votes - CEC final results

ASTANA. April 5. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ Incumbent President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev won 95.55% of the vote in the snap presidential elections. These are the final results announced by the Central Election Commission of Kazakhstan on Tuesday, April 5.

"Nursultan Nazarbayev received 7, 850,958 votes (95.55%); Gani Kassymov got 159,036 (1.94%); Zhambyl Akhmetbekov had 111,924 (1.36%); Mels Yeleussizov garnered 94,452 (1.15%)," CEC Chairman Kuandyk Turgankulov said at a briefing in Astana.

In this regard, members of the Central Election Commission adopted a resolution to consider Nursultan Nazarbayev as elected President of Kazakhstan.

The early presidential elections were held in Kazakhstan on April 3.
