Nazarbayev visited Kazakh-Turkish lyceum in Astana

The President was accompanied by Education and Science Minister Bakytzhan Zhumagulov and Astana Mayor Imangali Tasmagambetov.

Nursultan Nazarbayev visited a 5th-grade classroom and observed a history lesson dedicated to the 20^th anniversary of Kazakhstan's independence.

Nur Orda is a private lyceum. It was opened in 2007. The school curriculum has additional subjects like logic, chess, and mathematics for fun in 1^st -2nd grade, computer class in 3^rd grade, Turkish language in 5^th grade and Chinese language in 9^th grade. Starting with 8th grade all natural and mathematical sciences are taught in English.

This year 1,020 students will study at the lyceum.
