Nazarbayev University students in China at Xi Jinping's invitation

During their two-week stay in the country, NU students and professors are expected to visit the Chinese cities of Urumqi, Shanghai, Beijing and Xian where they will familiarize with unique culture, traditions and customs. They are also set to visit the top-ranking Chinese universities - Peking University and Tsinghua University and to partake in the Kazakhstani-Chinese students' festivals in Shanghai and Beijing as part of their trip. According to the Kazakh diplomatic mission in China, the event is organized together with the Chinese partners and is believed to expand cooperation between the two nations in the sphere of education, joint projects and programs realization, and establishing effective dialogue between youth organizations. It was Chinese President Xi Jinping who invited NU students and teaching staff to visit Chinese summer camps during his last year's state visit to Astana in September.
