Nazarbayev sends greetings to participants of Trans-Asian Parliamentary Forum

ALMATY. May 14. KAZINFORM /Aigul Turysbekova/ "It is significant that the parliamentary forum in Almaty is held in the year of the 65th anniversary of victory over fascism, 35th anniversary of the Helsinki Final Act and the 20th anniversary of signing of the Charter of Paris for a New Europe.

These important dates mark not only turning points in the history, but also give us a ground for understanding the profound changes that have occurred on the Eurasian continent at the turn of the centuries", the Kazakhstan President's address to the participants of the Trans-Asian Parliamentary Forum reads.

"A symbol of those changes is Kazakhstan's chairmanship in the OSCE - the first post soviet and Asian country to head this authoritative international organization. Our model of interethnic and interreligious accord is a real contribution of Kazakhstan in ensuring humanitarian dimension of the OSCE activity", the letter reads.

It was noted that Kazakhstan was going to pay special attention to the cooperation with the OSCE partners in Asia, take measures to expand the OSCE dialogue with regional organizations in Asia.

The President's letter was read out by OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Secretary of State and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Kanat Saudabayev.
