Nazarbayev met with reps of int'l organizations during AEF
ASTANA. May 23. KAZINFORM Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev has met with representatives of international organizations during the V Astana Economic Forum, the Presidential press service said.
The attendees of the multilateral meeting were Sha Zukang, the United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Economic and Social Affairs, Min Zhu, Deputy Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, Alejandro Jara, the WTO Deputy Director-General, Petko Draganov, Deputy Secretary-General of the UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), Juan Clos, Executive Director of United Nations Human Settlements Programme.
The President of Kazakhstan noted that our country attaches much importance to the Astana Economic Forum. "Thus, we are making a contribution to maintaining stability of the global economy. Each year, the Forum brings together a growing number of participants. Its international prestige is growing as well. We need your active participation in this event," Nursultan Nazarbayev addressed the guests.
In turn, the participants thanked the President of Kazakhstan for the invitation and noted the high status of the Astana Economic Forum.
