Nazarbayev meets with WTO Director General Roberto Azevedo
ASTANA-DAVOS. January 24. KAZINFORM - President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has met with the Director General of the World Trade Organization Roberto Azevedo, the press service of Akorda reports.
During the talks there have been reviewed current state of negotiations on Kazakhstan's accession to the WTO.
The President noted that our country's accession to the WTO is one of the main foreign economic priorities.
According to Roberto Azevedo the key issue to be agreed with WTO member-states is the harmonization of the obligations of Kazakhstan and Russia on import customs duties in connection with Customs Union membership.
R.Azevedo assured N. Nazarbayev that the WTO Secretariat will provide full support for early conclusion of negotiations on Kazakhstan's accession to the organization.
