Nazarbayev meets with Chairman of NPC Standing Committee in Beijing
BEIJING. February 22. KAZINFORM /Ruslan Suleimenov/ A meeting of Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev with Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress Wu Bangguo takes place in Beijing.
"You are the President, who has great authority, however, you are a good friend for us. You are well-known in our country and respected. You made a great contribution to development of relations between our states. I believe, your visit will give a new impetus and lead our relations to a new level. This visit will be successful," Wu Bangguo said addressing the Kazakh President.
"An informal meeting, the so-called "casual meeting" was held yesterday. We conducted the business talk the whole evening. After 19 years of independence I pay my 15th visit to China. As Hu Jintao admitted, the trade turnover between our states has increased 13 times during this period", the Kazakh President said in his turn.
The Kazakh side is represented at the meeting by State Secretary - Foreign Minister Kanat Saudabayev, Assistant to the President of Kazakhstan Nurlan Yermekbayev, Ambassador Ikram Adyrbekov, Senator Kuanysh Sultanov, Majilisman Kenzhegali Sagadiyev.
