Nazarbayev launches Moinak Hydro Power Plant

ASTANA. December 9. KAZINFORM /Damir Baimanov/ Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev has put into operation the Moinak Hydro Power Plant via the telebridge on Friday.
"We all know about the power deficit in southern Kazakhstan. The hydro power plant can satisfy this need. This is a low cost electric system. Many years have passed since we began to work on this project. I congratulate you all on the completion of the construction," Nazarbayev noted.
The Moinak Hydro Power Plant is the first high-pressure hydro power plant in the CIS space.
