Nazarbayev: Kazakhstan, Italy share common views on main issues of international security
E. November 5. KAZINFORM /Yernur Akanbay/ Kazakhstan and Italy share common views regarding major issues of international security, Nursultan Nazarbayev has said after the talks with Giorgio Napolitano.
Issues of ensuring international security were discussed at the tete-a-tete meeting of the Kazakh, Italian Leaders. "We have common views on reduction of nuclear arsenal, non-proliferation of mass destruction weapons and establishment of peace in the Middle East ", N. Nazarbayev noted.
"We hope that Iranian Government will hold constructive talks. Iran has always claimed peaceful use of nuclear energy and they must convince all of us in it. Iran is also Kazakhstan's trade partner and we would like this country to live in peace and prosperity", the Kazakh President stressed.
The parties also focused on the Afghan situation. "Kazakhstan has always rendered aid to Afghanistan and today we are discussing the issue of teaching Afghan children. We must help in restoration of the country's economy and overcome the problems of unemployment. Kazakhstan is ready to provide assistance in rehabilitation of this long-suffering country", N. Nazarbayev said.
