Nazarbayev, Karimov talk over phone on development of Upper Syr Darya River Basin

ASTANA. September 26. KAZINFORM Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev and his Uzbek counterpart Islam Karimov talked over the phone on Wednesday, the Presidential press service told Kazinform.
The presidents discussed the issues of bilateral relations, as well as the progress of implementation of the agreements reached during the state visit of Islam Karimov to Kazakhstan on September 6-7, 2012.
The two leaders praised the results of the visit and reiterated previously expressed positions on the construction of hydropower facilities in the Upper Syr Darya River Basin.
