Nazarbayev congratulates Malaysian PM on convincing victory of Barisan National Party
ASTANA. May 6. KAZINFORM Today, President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has sent a telegram of congratulations to Malaysian Prime Minister Mohd Najib Tun Razak on the occasion of a landslide victory of the ruling coalition Barisan National in the parliamentary elections, president's press service reports.
In his telegram the Head of State noted that success was a reflection of the trust people of Malaysia had in Prime Minister Razak and his party.
"Our mutual relations are based on friendship and trust and I am sure it will only strengthen," the telegram reads.
Nursultan Nazarbayev also expressed his intention to continue the dialogue with Mr. Razak to discuss joint actions aimed at further consolidation of the bilateral cooperation between Kazakhstan and Malaysia.
In conclusion, the Kazakh President wished the Malaysian Prime Minister good health and success and people of Malaysia - peace and prosperity.
