Nazarbayev attends Birzhan and Sara opera premier at Astana Opera Theater

ASTANA. June 21. KAZINFORM Today, President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has attended the new Opera and Ballet Theater - a unique Astana Opera in the heart of the Kazakh capital.
Prior to the premier of Birzhan and Sara opera, President Nazarbayev confirmed 100 comfortable apartments and 100 dorm rooms will be offered to the artists of the new theater in Astana.
The Kazakh President also stressed this year marks 100th anniversary of one of the greatest Kazakh composers Mukan Tulebayev and it is quite symbolic that his opera called "Birzhan and Sara" will crown the opening of the new opera and ballet theater.
The world premier of the theater is expected to take place in October 2013.
