Nazarbayev and Putin discussed results of meeting in Minsk

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Nursultan Nazarbayev and Vladimir Putin held a telephone conversation, the press service of Akorda informs.

The presidents discussed the results of the meeting in Minsk aimed at resolution of the crisis in Minsk.

The President of Kazakhstan noted that the Normandy four meeting at the level and the efforts exerted by Vladimir Putin during the negotiations helped to finally reach the agreement in Minsk.

The sides noted the importance of observance of the conditions of the Minsk agreement by both sides of the conflict. The ceasefire agreement comes into force on February 15, 12 am.

Both presidents expressed hope that the efforts exerted for the peaceful resolution of the Ukrainian crisis would suffice to entirely settle the conflict. Vladimir Putin also confirmed his readiness to take part in the tripartite meeting of heads of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russian in Astana for discussion of joint work in the sphere of the economy. The conversation was initiated by the Russian side.
