Nazarbayev and EBRD President debated cooperation issues
ASTANA-BOROVOYE. KAZINFORM Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev and EBRD President Sir Suma Chakrabarti met in Borovoye within the framework of the Kazakhstan Foreign Investors' Council under the Kazakh President, the Akorda press service said.
The sides debated the bank's activities in Kazakhstan and its participation in realization of various projects. As the President said, Kazakhstan and EBRD achieved a framework agreement on partnership that affords great opportunities for broadening bilateral cooperation. "Kazakhstan allocates KZT 1 trillion 600 mln for the economic development, the same amount of investments will be attracted from another sources. I know the cooperation between the Kazakh Government and EBRD was fruiful. I hope our mutual cooperation will continue," Nazarbayev said. EBRD works in 34 countries from Central Europe to Central Asia, and the Southern and Eastern Mediterranean.
