Natural gas leak causes Beijing bus fire
BEIJING. September 21. KAZINFORM. Beijing Municipal Bus Company authorities Monday said a fire that destroyed a bus in downtown Beijing was caused by a natural gas pipeline leak in the engine of the bus; Kazinform refers to Xinhua.
They ruled out foul play in the accident.
A bus on route No.17 in Beijing at 6 am Monday caught fire at a road crossing near Puhuangyu, southern Beijing,
The accident happened as the bus was on its way back to the bus company's headquarters, with only a driver and a conductor on board.
No fatalities were caused in the accident. Both the driver and the conductor are fine, said the municipal public security department.
