National Council for Literature and Arts to be established in Kazakhstan
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - National Council for Literature and Art is to be established in Kazakhstan, according to Vice Minister of Culture and Sports Askar Buribayev.
"For the purpose of further transformation of the industry, it is planned to create a national council for literature and arts as well as arts councils in various sectors," Mr. Buribayev said at a press conference at the KazMedia Center in Astana. The vice minister didn't name the exact date when the council will be set up, but stressed it will be done within the framework of the Concept of Cultural Policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan. "The Concept envisages a wide range of events aimed at the development of arts in Kazakhstan. This is the first cultural concept to be developed in the country. We've tried to take into account all recommendations when drawing up the document. It also envisages the development of creative and cultural tourism clusters," he noted.
