National budget deficit to be reduced from 2.8% in 2011 to 1.5% in 2013 - Prime Minister

ASTANA. October 25. KAZINFORM /Serik Sabekov/ Deficit of the national budget will be gradually reduced from 2.8% against the GDP in 2011 to 1.5% against the GDP in 2013. Prime Minister Karim Massimov said at the meeting of the Faction of Nur Otan Party in the Majilis today.

"Sustainability of state finances in the post-crisis period is the main condition of stable economic growth", K. Massimov noted.

The PM reminded that the budget of 2010 was approved with 4.6% deficit against the GDP.

"To my mind, the draft national budget lays a solid foundation for post-crisis modernization ensuring solution of all priority issues", the Head of the Kazakh Government concluded.
