National Bank of Kazakhstan issues new coins
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - The National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan has announces the release into circulation commemorative coins dedicated to the 200th anniversary of Taras Shevchenko, made of silver of "proof" quality with nominal value of KZT 500 and of "nickel silver" alloy with nominal value of KZT 50.
Silver and "nickel silver" coins have identical images front and back sides.
Head sides of the coins have in the central part, on the ornamental background made up of Kazakh and Ukrainian ornaments, the coat of arms of the Republic of Kazakhstan. One of the coins is made of 925 silver, weight - 31.1 grams, diameter - 38.61 mm, quality - «proof», circulation - 3 thousand.
Nickel silver alloy coin's weight - 11.17 grams, diameter - 31 mm, circulation - 100 thousand pieces.
Commemorative coins with nominal value of 500 and 50 to be accepted at their face value on the entire territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan for all types of payments, as well as for transfer to bank accounts and exchange in all banks of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
