N. Nazarbayev urged to improve internet portal of Astana

"We have been discussing the importance to develop mass tourism- both domestic and foreign - for a long time. Astana must hold the special place in the country and attract tourist from all over the world", N.Nazarbayev noted.

The President noted that all the urban facilities and architectural image of the city conform to this requirement. He also pointed out the imperfection of the internet portal of Astana.

"The first step a tourist makes is search for information. In this sense any visitor can be regarded as a tourist. The information on the website is hardly ever refreshed. The design looks too official. There are only a few sections in it that provide with useful information, and only a small part of information is given in the English language", the President stated.

As the President said: "It is very difficult to find any information about cultural and entertainment events in the city on the website."
