N. Nazarbayev receives congratulations on holding OSCE Summit in Astana
ASTANA-ISTANBUL. September 17. KAZINFORM On September 16 presidents of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, Turkey Abdullah Gül, Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, Kyrgyzstan Roza Otunbayeva and Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov took part in the 10th Summit of Turkic speaking countries; the Presidential press service informs.
They discussed the activity of the Turkic Council, Council of Elders and the activities of the Academy of Turkic world. Besides, they exchanged views on preserving regional peace and security, developing economic cooperation and stabilizing the situation in Kyrgyzstan.
Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev proposed to hold large-scale celebration of the 20th anniversary of Turkic speaking countries.
The Heads of Turkic speaking states, in their turn, expressed their support for Kazakhstan's presidency in the international organizations and congratulated President N. Nazarbayev on holding the OSCE Summit in Astana on December 1-2.
Upon the completion of the Summit the Istanbul Declaration was adopted.
