N. Nazarbayev received SCO Foreign Ministers

Foreign Ministers Yang Jiechi of China, Ruslan Kazakbaev of Kyrgyzstan, Sergei Lavrov of Russia, Khamrokhon Zarifi of Tajikistan, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Islamov, SCO Secretary General Muratbek Imanaliev, Secretary of the Security Council of Kazakhstan Marat Tajin, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Yerzhan Kazykhanov, Assistant to the President of Kazakhstan on international affairs Nurlan Yermekbayev and Director of the Executive Committee of the Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO RATS) Dzhenisbek Dzhumanbekov took part in the meeting.

The sides, discussed the issues of holding the upcoming anniversary SCO Summit in Astana.

'We are glad that President Nursultan Nazarbayev has received us today. We all think that the upcoming anniversary SCO Summit will become a historic milestone in the process of development of our Organization. Kazakhstan has done a lot of work to prepare for this Summit in a successful way which is a Kazakhstan's feature. Mr. Nazarbayev emphasized the need of strengthening cooperation within the SCO in the sphere of security, economy and humanitarian sphere as well for the next decade. All the Ministers agree with the President. President of China Hu Jintao will gladly participate in the Summit and pay his state visit to Kazakhstan on the invitation of Nursultan Nazarbayev,' Minister of Foreign Affairs of China Yang Jiechi told journalists at the briefing.
