N. Nazarbayev, R.Erdogan discuss strengthening of the Kazakh-Turkish strategic coop
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - President Nursultan Nazarbayev has met with President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan who arrived in Kazakhstan on a state visit.
During the meeting the parties discussed the issues of further strengthening the Kazakh-Turkish strategic cooperation, the press service of Akorda reports. Nursultan Nazarbayev and Recep Tayyip Erdogan have considered the ways of deepening relations in trade, economic, investment, industrial, transit transport, cultural and humanitarian spheres. The heads of the two states have also reviewed topical aspects of international and regional agenda. Kazakhstan's President noted that the relations between the two countries are at a very high level. President Nazarbayev noted that under the leadership of Mr. R.Erdogan Turkey has made great progress. It ranks 16th in the world in terms of economic performance. "I am sure that your visit will contribute to the transition of our relations to a new level," said the President of Kazakhstan. In turn, President of Turkey has expressed his gratitude for Nursultan Nazarbayev last year's visit to Turkey and his attendance at the inauguration ceremony. President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan noted that despite the difficult global economic situation Kazakhstan develops dynamically achieving great success. In addition, he wished his Kazakhstan's counterpart success in the upcoming presidential elections.
