N.Nazarbayev introduces new Mayor of Astana to staff
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has held a meeting with a core group of Astana whom he introduced the new Mayor of the capital city Adilbek Dzhaksybekov, the press office of Akorda reported.
During the meeting President said that Imangali Tasmagambetov appointed Minister of Defense. President stressed that during his work in Astana Akimat I.Tasmagambetov has significantly changed the main city of the capital. "Within 16 years we have built the new capital and made it into the city which surprises and delights citizens of our country and our guests from around the world. Today it has been announced that Astana was included in Top 21 Smart Cities on the Planet," said Nursultan Nazarbayev. The President of Kazakhstan said that Adilbek Dzhaksybekov was appointed the new Governor of the capital. "According to the Constitution, I have secured the Maslikhat's consent and appointed Adilbek Dzhaksybekov Mayor of Astana," he added.
I.Tasmagambetov and A.Dzhaksybekov thanked the President for his trust and noted that they would make all efforts to fulfill all the tasks set before them.
